Take your time
Don't feel rushed. Use the test drive to get a genuine feel for the vehicle and how comfortable you are behind the wheel.

Check your driving position
Make sure you can comfortably adjust the seat, steering wheel and mirrors. Check that you have good visibility and that the controls are easy to reach.

Try different types of roads
If possible, experience the vehicle on a mixture of roads. Pay attention to how it feels around town, at higher speeds and when cornering or braking.

If you'll regularly carry passengers, children, pets or luggage, check the rear seats, boot space and overall practicality. Look for Isofix if you regularly use travel seats for children and take any regular items to test their fit such as tools, wheelchairs, walking sticks and pushchairs. If possible, bring the people who will regularly travel in the car.​

Explore the features
Take some time to try the features that are important to you, such as the infotainment system, navigation, reversing camera, parking sensors, climate control and driver assistance technology.

Listen for anything unusual
