BAYON is back with a refreshed interior design. The roomy interior is now lit with optional LED technology, including LED room, map and sunvisor lamps. 64-colour front ambient lighting lets you adjust the colour of the interior lighting to fit your mood.BAYON features an interior blue colour pack with blue accents throughout the cockpit. It includes blue stitching on the steering wheel, seats and door armrests, blue accents on the dashboard and centre console, front door moulding and air vents.
Horizontal blades flow across the dashboard, elegantly merging with the air vents and creating a sense of continuity and modern style.
The overall feeling of roominess is helped by headroom of 993 mm for the driver and front seat passenger and 977 mm for rear passengers. Enjoy excellent legroom for a more comfortable ride. Front passengers can enjoy 1,072 mm of legroom, while rear passengers have 882 mm.

The Hyundai BAYON first launched in the UK in July 2021 as a compact SUV based on the Hyundai i20. The original model featured distinctive split headlights, a practical interior and a range of 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engines. Selected versions were available with 48V mild-hybrid technology, designed to improve fuel efficiency, alongside manual and automatic gearbox options.
In June 2024, the BAYON received a facelift, introducing a full-width LED daytime-running light bar, redesigned bumpers, new alloy wheels and updated colour options. Interior technology and safety equipment were also improved, with dual 10.25-inch displays offered as standard across the UK range. The facelifted UK models moved away from mild-hybrid technology, using conventional petrol power instead.
In December 2025, Hyundai introduced a revised BAYON range featuring a 1.0-litre T-GDi petrol engine producing 90PS, paired with either a six-speed manual gearbox (6MT) or a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (7DCT). The trim line-up was updated to Black Line and Tech Line, bringing revised styling and equipment. This was a specification and trim update rather than a new generation, and the UK models continued without mild-hybrid technology.
In October 2026, Hyundai unveiled an all-new BAYON featuring a more substantial redesign, dual 12.3-inch displays, enhanced driver-assistance technology and improved rear passenger comfort. A hybrid powertrain is planned for a later stage, although UK launch timing and specifications have yet to be confirmed.
