New Hyundai i30 - Human Ready

The new Hyundai i30 has arrived at Read Hyundai. The third generation of this popular model has undergone an extensive product enhancement gaining dynamic new styling features, upgraded technologies and electrified 48 Volt Hybrid engines as standard.

A Modern Exterior Design

The timeless design concept of the i30 family hatchback is reflected in the quality and passion that shines through every detail.

SE Connect models feature LED daytime running lights housed within the lower bumper. Premium models include DRL’s integrated into the headlights (shown). Whichever you choose, each provides extra visibility during daylight.

The form and detail of the distinctive black Hyundai grille with chrome surround is inspired by the flowing descent of molten steel.

SE Connect models feature sporty 16” alloy wheels, Premium is fitted with larger 17” wheels.

The standard black rear spoiler is integral to the i30’s core design philosophy with a sophisticated, sporty feel. It improves air flow off the rear of the car – lowering drag and improving fuel efficiency​.

The clean side view of the i30 is dominated by the uninterrupted sleek character line that runs from the headlights to the rear combination lights.​

The elevated location of the rear reflectors and fog lights contributes to the overall impression of width and stability.

Interior Styling

The LCD display is available in two sizes, 3.5” on SE Connect models and 7” (shown) on Premium models. Both offer key journey and energy flow information from the 48 volt hybrid system.​

Premium models offer a heated steering wheel. Great for those chilly early morning starts.

Both SE Connect and Premium models offer touch screen display audio units. The 8” display on SE Connect includes smart device integration and DAB. Premium upgrades the screen size to 10.25” (shown) and also features navigation with traffic messaging and LIVE services.

With air conditioning as standard and dual-zone climate control fitted on Premium (shown), the controls have been designed to be simple to use, with dials that are easier to operate on the go.​

Bluetooth® lets you stay connected to work and family and enjoy music, while keeping focused on the road. On SE Connect upwards – Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto ™ give you the ability to use selected apps on compatible phones, creating a seamless transition between life in and out of your car. Plus there’s a centrally located wireless charging pad for easy, cable-free, smartphone charging on Premium models.

The driver and front passenger seats are heated on Premium models. The electric powered driver’s seat with 10-way adjustment is also fitted on Premium, ensuring it can be perfectly positioned for different drivers.​

Making Life Easier

The i30 offers superior driver aid systems and clever thinking which take the stress out of every journey.​

Parking in confined spaces can be a problem. SE Connect models feature sensors in the rear bumper and a rear view parking camera with the display mounted in the touchscreen unit. Premium and N Line also add front parking sensors.​

Intuitive one-touch folding operation of the rear seats makes enhancing the cargo space easy. Combined with a two-stage luggage board, you have the choice of a fully flat luggage space for easy loading, or more boot volume.

Download the Bluelink app and get access to even more convenient features on Premium and N Line models. Send navigation instructions in advance or use the find my car feature to locate it, you can also view diagnostic and journey information.

Fitted on Premium and N Line, the navigation system uses 3D maps and turn-by-turn info. This can also be shown on the 7” LCD supervision cluster in the instrument binnacle, so it’s directly in your sight-line. LIVE Services provide live traffic information, speed camera alerts, weather and point of interest data.

1.0 T-GDi Petrol Engine

The 1.0 T-GDI 48 volt hybrid is a downsized turbocharged petrol engine with 120 PS and 172 Nm at 1,500 ~ 4,000 rpm. It is mated to a 6-speed manual or 7-speed DCT transmission.​

1.5 T-GDi Petrol Engine

For a dynamic and responsive drive, the newly developed 1.5 T-GDI 48 volt hybrid, delivers a powerful 159 PS and 253 Nm torque at 1,500 rpm. It is available with either a 6-speed manual or 7-speed Dual Clutch.​

1.6 T-GDi Petrol Engine

This turbocharged diesel 48 volt hybrid engine produces 136 PS and is available with a 6-speed manual transmission or 7 speed DCT automatic. The manual transmission delivers 280Nm of torque while the DCT delivers 320Nm.

48 Volt Hybrid System

The 48 volt hybrid system is available on both petrol and diesel engine and also with both transmission options. It’s able to run on electric when decelerating or whilst stopped - conserving fuel at regular intervals on your daily drive. It’s an enhancement over traditional start & stop technology as it is able to switch to electric before the car comes to a complete stop.​

Intelligent Manual Transmission

For increased fuel efficiency, the iMT decouples the engine from the transmission after the accelerator is released. The vehicle goes into coasting mode.​

Dual Clutch Transmission

The specially developed 7-DCT gearbox adds an extra dynamic accent with optimised fuel efficiency. Shifting between gears is extremely fast, smooth and enjoyable. 3 selectable drive modes are available, Normal, Eco and Sport.

Hyundai SmartSense is our cutting-edge driver assistance system. Every feature has been added to maximise safety through active monitoring and reactive support when required. It’s built to provide you and your passengers with optimum safety for extra peace of mind.

Lane Keep Assist (LKA)

The system contributes to active safety by avoiding unintentional lane departures
caused by driver distractions. LKA warns the driver acoustically
and visually before inducing a corrective steering force.​

Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB)

Front-mounted camera systems scan the road ahead for preceding vehicles. AEB automatically initiates emergency braking to minimize the chances
of a serious crash, or reduce its consequences.

Forward Collision Warning System (FCWS)

FCWS uses the front camera to detect the potential for any frontal collision and
alert the driver of the danger. AEB initiates emergency braking to avoid or minimise
the effects of any such collision.

Blind Spot Collision (BSC)

Sensors mounted in the rear bumper on Premium models detect the proximity of any vehicle obscured
in the blind spot and trigger a warning light in the relevant door mirror. An acoustic
signal immediately sounds if a turn signal is activated when a vehicle is detected in
the blind spot.
