BRUSSELS, BELGIUM – Hyundai Motor Company has officially pulled the curtain back on the highly anticipated STARIA Electric at the 2026 Brussels Motor Show. This marks a significant milestone in the brand’s electrification journey, bringing zero-emission performance to its flagship multi-purpose vehicle (MPV).
The STARIA Electric isn't just a powertrain swap; it is a high-tech overhaul designed to meet the demands of modern families, shuttle operators, and eco-conscious businesses alike.
The STARIA Electric leverages Hyundai’s industry-leading EV expertise, featuring the same 800-volt electrical architecture found in the award-winning IONIQ series. This allows for class-leading charging speeds that outpace almost every competitor in the MPV segment.
The STARIA’s "spaceship" aesthetic remains, but the electric variant introduces subtle refinements including a closed front grille and a signature horizontal LED light bar that emphasizes its futuristic identity.
Inside, the "Inside-Out" design philosophy provides a flat floor and a lounge-like atmosphere. At launch, the STARIA Electric will be available in two primary configurations:
"STARIA Electric brings our EV expertise to a vehicle that many customers already know and trust, combining impressive space and flexibility with a new, fast-charging system," said Xavier Martinet, President and CEO of Hyundai Motor Europe.
Hyundai has packed the STARIA Electric with its latest digital innovations, ensuring it stays at the forefront of the "Connected Car" era.
Production is slated to begin at Hyundai’s Ulsan plant in Korea. The STARIA Electric is expected to hit the Korean and European markets in the first half of 2026, with other global regions to follow shortly after. Pricing details are expected to be announced closer to the local launch dates.
