Hyundai Motor UK will become the official vehicle supplier to the Team Wiggins elite cycling team for 2016.
Team Wiggins, founded by Sir Bradley Wiggins - seven-time Olympic medallist and the first Briton to win the Tour de France - will use a fleet of five Hyundai vehicles throughout the 2016 season. The vehicles will be used to support the team throughout their training and racing schedule including the Tour de Yorkshire, Tour of Britain and races in Europe.
The fleet will consist of two i40 Tourers, two modified Santa Fe SUV's and an iLoad van. the i40's will carry equipment including the official team bikes, and the team members. They will also play the crucial role of support car on race day, carrying spare bikes and vital supplies for the competing riders.
The Santa Fe car's and the i40 Tourers will come in generously equipped Premium trim so the team will benefit from a variety of in-car technology to keep them comfortable throughout the long days
Support staff, technicians and team members will have use of two modified Santa Fe SUV's. The iLoad completes the team and will be used to transport larger equipment between the various stages.
The new partnership kicks off this month with the option to continue into the 2017 season.
