On 24th November, Read Motor Group hosted a groundbreaking EV Track Day event at the legendary Cadwell Park. This wasn’t just about showcasing the MG Cyberster; it was an opportunity to challenge perceptions of electric vehicles (EVs) and experience their true potential on one of the UK’s most iconic circuits.
Three lucky winners, along with our sales & marketing executive, had the chance to take the revolutionary MG Cyberster for a spin, pushing it to its limits and discovering the thrill of electric performance.
Known as the "Mini Nürburgring," Cadwell Park has a long history of testing the mettle of drivers and riders alike. Its 2.25-mile Full circuit, with the famous ‘Mountain’ section, is one of the most challenging and rewarding tracks in the UK.
Even the great Ayrton Senna fell victim to the challenges of the ‘Mountain,’ proving that this track spares no one. Today, Cadwell Park remains a favourite among drivers, its technical corners and sweeping bends offering the perfect setting for thrilling racing action.
The damp and overcast conditions on the day made for an exciting track experience, allowing the MG Cyberster to showcase its power, precision, and agility.
The three winners had the chance to drive the MG Cyberster 510hp GT, the top-spec model featuring dual motors, all-wheel drive, a 267-mile range, and a high-luxury interior. This isn’t just an EV—it’s a roadster designed to thrill.
For one winner, who had never driven an EV before, the experience was a revelation:
