Coronavirus (COVID-19) Statement - A message from our Owner and Managing Director

On behalf of Read Motor Group, I wanted to assure you that in times of uncertainty, the safety of our customers and people remains our highest priority. Please know that we are keeping those affected by coronavirus (COVID-19) in our thoughts while we closely monitor the evolving situation.

In the meantime, I wanted to inform you of the steps Read Motor Group is taking to ensure safety in our dealerships:

  • Introduction of a contact-free environment and policy
  • We are working hard to provide hand sanitization options in our customer and staff waiting areas
  • Our staff will keep a social distance of at least 1 meter, or 6 feet and will not be shaking hands with customers
  • Loan vehicles, demonstrators and showroom vehicles are sanitized daily
  • Cleaning frequency within our dealerships has been increased throughout the day to ensure high standards of safety and cleanliness are maintained. This included PDQ machines – card payment machines, coffee machines, door handles and TV remotes
  • Collection and delivery of vehicles for all
  • We can provide a personalised video of your vehicle during its health check showing any items requiring attention – you see what we see
  • Vehicles will be wiped down with anti-bacterial wipes prior to returning
  • Reduced cash handling – card payment and bank transfers preferred
  • Vehicle servicing, MOT tests and repairs can be booked online via our website
  • Customers self-isolating and showing symptoms can re-book for 14 days’ time with our priority booking
  • Unaccompanied test drives to allow customers to drive vehicles without staff members being present
  • Test drives can be taken from your own home
  • We can provide a detailed video of any vehicle of interest in our stock
  • Our range of pre-owned vehicles can be reserved online via our website
  • All our range of brand new Hyundai models will shortly be available to buy online via ‘Click to Buy’
  • We offer the ability to Live Chat 24 hours a day with a representative via our website
  • Non-essential travel between dealerships has ceased and our internal meetings will now take place via video calls
  • We have instructed any staff with flu-like symptoms to self-isolate and not attend the workplace in line with current Government guidelines
  • Where possible, team members are working remotely and so please bear with us if we’re a little slower to respond to queries
