Hyundai showcased it newest models at Frankfurt International Motor Show 2015. The new Vision Gran Turismo concept has been designed for the virtual world of Gran Turismo 6 on PlayStation and to introduce the world to the new Hyundai N performance sub-brand.
The Gran Turismo weighs around 2,142lbs, has 872hp and is powered by motors connected to hydrogen fuel cell. The car generates a distinctive racecar sound because of the air blower turbine spinning at 200,00RPM.
Hyundai’s 2016 World Rally Championship challenger made an appearance. The New Generation i20 has been updated for 2016 and is being prepared for its debut at Rallye Monte-Carlo in January.
It is thought the i20 WRC will have the same turbocharged, 1.6, 4-cylinder engine as its predecessor which was rated at 300hp and 400 Nm of torque.
The preview version displays an N logo on the front grille linking it to Hyundai’s performance sub-brand.
Also on show is the RM15 mid-engine sports car concept. With a carbon filter body weighing just 2,777lbs and a Hyundai 2.0 turbocharged 4-cylinder engine, this car delivers 300hp.
Hyundai has called it's performance sub-brand N to represent Namyang in South Korea which is home to Hyundai's R&D, and Nurburgring where the new models were tested.
