After the first official sketches of the new Ioniq Hybrid were revealed last December, Hyundai has promised a full unveiling of its line up at the Geneva Motor Show.
The Ioniq is set to be the world’s first production car with hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and fully electric powertrain options.
The Ioniq Hybrid is expected to enter the market in 2016. With a new chassis design and 1.6 litre engine, the Hybrid will boast class leading thermal efficiency of 40%. It aims for CO2 emissions of 79g/km.
Efficiency comes from class-leading aerodynamic performance gained through a combination of lightweight structural design and a slippery exterior giving it a low drag coefficient.
All three vehicles boast an abundance of advanced safety features including Lane Keep Assist, Blind Spot Detection, Smart Cruise Control, and Autonomous Emergency Braking.
With a spacious interior, the Ioniq shows evidence of being a family focused car, the inside is packed full of infotainment with connectivity through Apple Car Play and Android Auto, as well as Tom Tom services.
The Geneva Motor Show kicks off March 01 with two press days ahead of the Show which runs March 03 – 13 2016.
