Back in 2009, Hyundai was the 23rd-ranked UK fleet car brand with just 7230 units sold. By the end of 2014 it was in 10th spot with more than 42,000.
As 2015 ends, the numbers are still looking up, with circa 46,000 fleet units predicted on the back of the still strong i30 and the recently launched All-NewTucson, which replaced Hyundai’s 2014 top fleet seller, the ix35 in September 2015.
Hyundai’s All-New Tucson has been recognised as the ‘Best Mainstream Small 4x4’ in BusinessCar’s annual awards, with the Tucson’s striking design, cost-efficiency and practicality securing the top spot for Hyundai.
The BusinessCar Awards are unique in that they are the only awards decided by the fleet industry itself, rather than being decided by a panel of experts, the winners are chosen by the people relying on them to help efficiently run their businesses on a daily basis.
The success of the Tucson is due to fantastic whole-life costs and has been for a few years, residual values and boot space. In addition, the Tucson adds enhanced levels of standard equipment boosting comfort, convenience and safety across the range. Fuel efficiency as high as 61.7 mpg and CO2 emissions from just 119 g/km ensure a good BiK value and low running costs for fleets. The cars look great and with a five year unlimited-mileage warranty the All-new Tucson makes great business sense for the Fleet Manager.
